Improving the capability of providing a solution for each individual PPP case

This seminar aims to improve the capability of providing a solution for each individual PPP case through interactive debate and discussions on the use of policy analysis and case study.

Through interactive debate and discussions on the use of policy analysis and case study, students are expected to improve the capability of providing a solution for each individual PPP case
1) based on the appropriate principle and
2) through adequate sequence of thinking.

The theme to be discussed will be chosen by each seminar session. Some examples are principles of PPP and implementation measures.
The actual result of the research for the students'master's thesis will be discussed in the session.
The schedule will be flexible in the interest of the attending students.
A tentative schedule is as follows.
Lesson1: Guidance
Lesson2: Presentation of the actual result of the research of each student
Lesson3 to 14 the theme chosen by each seminar session
Lesson15: Wrap-up of the session

The theme for debate will be indicated a week before each session through MANABA. Participating students are asked to study the content ahead of time to allow for positive participation in the debate. Some assignments for individual reports and presentations may be instructed on a case-by- case bases.

Pre-seminar study:
Students are asked to collect any additional information to study the theme in advance in order to allow for an effective debate（Recommended pre-study : Approx 30-60 minutes).
Post Seminar study:
The results of debate should be useful for any future studies and/or practices. Having comprehensive and organized knowledge of specific issues should be usefulin future（Recommended post study: Approx. 30-60 minutes)

Rate of Participation in the seminar（40%）, positive attitude in raising opinions and questions(30%), depth and appropriateness of views and opinions(30%) will serve the evaluation.
Grating criteria: S: 100-90 A: 90>=80 B: 80>=70 C 70>=60 Under 60 means failure.

No specific pre-requisites exist.

Prior to each seminar session, individual theme for discussion, intent and backgrund will be indicated through MANABA. There is no specific text for assigned, but seminar focuses mainly on discussions around a predefined topic or theme.

Open source materials or reference documents that may be downloaded over internet will be indicated as reference if needed.
