Broaden perspectives of PPPs

【Course Purpose and Description】

In this seminar, students will collect cases from various PPP local government initiatives and overseas initiatives from a PPP perspective, and discuss with students to deepen their understanding. Through these, the objective is not only to collect and analyze the cases necessary for writing master's thesis, but also to acquire knowledge that will provide hints for the actual implementation of PPP projects.
As one of the common themes, we will conduct research on PPP project evaluation, VFM and social value evaluation, and infrastructure performance evaluation.

To gain broader perspective to understand broader definition of PPPs
To understand different types of PPPs (public service provision, public asset utilization and regulation/deregulation), current trends and cases, and become able to discuss on those issues
